Material Preparation: Typically, two-component liquid silicone is used, namely Component A and Component B. Additives such as color paste and catalysts are prepared according to product requirements.
Measurement and Mixing: Specialized metering pumps are used to precisely control the ratio of Components A and B. The two components are then uniformly mixed using static or dynamic mixers to ensure the stability of the mixed silicone's performance.
Injection Molding: The mixed liquid silicone is injected into the mold. The mold must be preheated to 120°C to 200°C to promote silicone curing. During injection, pressure and speed must be controlled to ensure the silicone fills the mold evenly, avoiding bubbles or insufficient filling.
Curing: The silicone undergoes a cross-linking reaction in the heated mold, transforming from liquid to solid. Curing time varies depending on product thickness and mold temperature, generally ranging from a few seconds to several minutes.
Demolding: After curing is complete, the mold is opened to remove the product. A release agent may be used if necessary to facilitate smooth demolding. The demolding process must be handled carefully to prevent product damage.
Post-Processing: The product is trimmed to remove burrs and flash; surface residues such as release agents or other contaminants are cleaned. Some products may require secondary curing to further enhance performance.
